BCCI in statement

Ashwin was the hero of the Adelaide Test win as he had taken six wickets. Rohit was also expected to play in the eleven in Perth Test. He scored 37 and 1 in the Adelaide Test. India has given preference on Jadeja over Kuldeep in spin department but it’s not sure that India will play with one spinner in Perth. The pitch is more suitable for pacers.

BCCI has shortlisted the 13-Man squad for Perth Test. Jadeja and Hanuma Vihari are the replacement of Ashwin and Rohit respectively.

Looking to the pitch, India can play with four pacers in Perth Test. Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be likely seen in the playing X1. In the absence of Shaw, Murli Vijay will get another chance after the failure in Adelaide.
