Netflix Gives Warning To Users For
# Bird Box Challenge; ‘Do Not End Up In Hospital’
Netflix is a widely used platform for streaming movies and shows. The original versions of the giant are really famous all over the world. Its one of the best platforms for all the binge-watchers out there!
Last week Netflix claimed that 45 million of its subscribers had streamed the Sandra Bullock thriller ‘Bird Box’ in its first week of release which is a record for original movie content on the platform.
Recently, they released a public health warning to save the lives of their subscribers. The warning message was issued in response to a crazy internet challenge i.e #birdboxchallenge. In this challenge, the people act like the characters in the film who must perform every task blindfolded, otherwise a monster will drive them to commit suicide.
“Can’t believe I have to say this, but: PLEASE DO NOT HURT YOURSELVES WITH THIS BIRD BOX CHALLENGE,” Netflix tweeted from its primary account.
“We don’t know how this started, and we appreciate the love, but Boy and Girl” – with reference to the unnamed children of the movie –
“have just one wish for 2019 and it is that you not end up in the hospital due to memes.”
This step was taken after thousands of videos were posted online showing people stumbling around houses, stairs and woods with scarves wrapped around their eyes.
Take a look!
Stay safe people!
