World’s leading and popular magazine New York Times placed India’s Hampi at number two on ‘52 Places To Go In 2019’. It is located near the Hospet town in the state of Karnataka. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is the only place who made into the list. 

Hampi attracts tourist from all over the world. It was the centre of Hindu Vijayanagara Empire capital in 14th century. It was India’s richest city and when Persian And Portuguese cane to trade here, it attracts them.

Hampi has most beautiful temples with a class of architecture. There are some ruins places inside the place. You can see royal pavilions and street markets also. It is also known as Pampa-kshetra and Kishkindha-kshetra which is derived from Pampa, the old name of the Tungabhadra River. 

The Caribbean Island of Puerto Rico is at number one position in this list. Definitely, it gives us one more reason to visit Hampi.
